Pollinator Friendly Symington

It was an absolute pleasure to meet with Pollinator Friendly Symington to present them with a Parliament Motion which recognises their work.

The group of volunteers took over the management of some of the road verges in the village during lockdown and sowed wildflowers which are crucial for pollinators like bees and butterflies which we all rely on.

Symington is part of the Nectar Network which connects pollinator friendly habitats across the Ayrshire coast.

Pollinator Friendly Symington shows that a small group of committed volunteers can make a big difference to their community. Please consider if you could replicate some of their work and plant some wildflowers in your garden to help our pollinators.
